A short tilt list this week because to paraphrase acoustic popster James Morrison well, I know that it’s a wonderful word but I can’t feel it right now.

Text messages from dear friends, Radio Four Extra (as a long-term radio 7 listener I was a wee bit sceptical of the re-brand but so far so good), post I’ve been waiting for finally arriving, twisting the lid off a jar when no one else was able to (I’m aware that they totally loosened it), knowing that even if I don’t feel it at the moment I am blessed by so many things each day.

Over to you reader, what's making your love list this Thursday?

Friday Find

Today's Friday find reader I bring you some wonderfully odd occupation names:

Corn Badger- someone who traded in corn, basically.

Sluggard Waker- someone whose job it was to wake up people who'd fallen asleep in church, generally with a long stick.

Bottom Knocker- boy who shaped the bottoms of big pots in the pottery industry. I'm sure you can make up your own jokes.

Things I Love Thursday

Hello readers, it’s Thursday again and I’m sure you’re all looking forward to your weekends so I’ll cut straight to the TILT chase!

Top of the list this week well in the words of Spiderbait… “Sunshine on my window makes me happy”. I’m still loving this beautiful spring weather we’ve been experiencing in the UK.

Also high on my list this week is this sweet (and oh so true) comic

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things. (Robert Brault):
hugs that matter, Hula hooping baby elephants ,that first cup of tea in the morning (without it, I am like a ship lost at sea), homemade tarragon mayonnaise, the gorgeous (and very friendly) new kitten that belongs to one of my neighbours,

Okay that’s the best I can do today. What about you reader? What’s been full of win for you this week? I hope that you have a fantastic rest of the week, and remember you’re amazing!

Thoughtful Tuesday

How did it get so late so soon?
It's night before it's afternoon.
December is here before it's June.
My goodness how the time has flewn.
How did it get so late so soon?

Friday Find

At the Vintner's Hall, there is a portrait of an 18th-century gentleman called Mr Van Horn, who, over a twenty-two year period, managed to consume 35,680 bottles of wine. That's an average of 4 and a half bottles a DAY. He lived to be ninety.

Things I Love Thursday

Happy Thursday reader! Here is a quick little blurb about what’s making me happy lately: Top of the list this week are housewarming parties or more specifically the housewarming party thrown by one of my dearest friends- catching up with lovely people (and meeting some new ones too). Juicy goss *ahem* I mean informed social commentary and a cocktail or four. In retrospect though maybe those last couple of drinks, diluting squash with wine, wasn't the best idea of the night...

This week I have also been very amused by this -Sarcasmaholics anonymous

Also:
the Freesias in my garden beginning to bloom, Cherry blossom, Beatles cupcakes some people are just amazingly talented, the prequel for the new series of Doctor Who being released watch it here, TV especially repeats of House and Monroe (I see a pattern emerging here),

Now it’s time for you to unleash all the things that are worth praising in your life lately. What’s making your heart sing reader?
