'We never close' Lt.Horatio Caine

Here in the UK we’re about to get the final series of CSI Miami, a fact that has been announced loudly and with increasing frequency by the ad campaign run by its UK home channel 5. If CSI [Las Vegas] is the parent of a myriad of forensic based dramas then Miami is the eccentric uncle.

Over the last few years I’ve found myself drifting in and out, mostly getting annoyed with the constant orange glaze over everything, yes it’s always sunny in Miami -honestly we get it already, or thinking 'Why are all of your lab scenes like 80's music videos, Miami? With all the flashing and flying boxes you can't actually see what's going on.'

Yet in spite of all this and the nagging fears that the plots just keep degenerating into nonsense I can’t seem to ever give up on it fully; so I’ll be watching the final series and hoping for a happy ending, after all you might occasionally find your uncle annoying but you don’t usually want to see him obliterated.
