I had never heard of Kerri Arrista before she stopped by my blog for a visit. She left a comment and I am so glad she did. Does that make me sound like a creepy stalker reader? I hope not let me just explain. When I headed over to her blog I discovered she’s a super talented singer/songwriter. I just spent some time checking out her music and it is incredible so thought I’d share it with you reader:

ReplyDelete@Kerri Well the small is because I am (5ft2/5ft3 approx) and the Bob part… when I was about 14 in a religious study lesson the teacher made us read aloud a story, a sort of cautionary tale type, and I was reading the part of a character called Bob. We finished the story and began doing a bit of classroom discussion at which point our teacher asked me to come to the front of class to write our answers but accidentally called me Bob instead of my real name – to the amusement of my classmates, not least because I’m female. It sort of became a running joke. That summer some friends and I went away to a youth camp. A couple of the leaders kept forgetting my real name- I was quite quiet, as a youth leader myself now I know how easy it is to learn the names of the noisy ones first, and Erica (my real name) was quite unusual for the UK at the time- at which point my friend piped up “oh I wouldn’t worry about it call her Bob everyone else does”
It’s sort of stuck with me ever since although now it tends to be an online thing rather than a personal thing.
